Anything that can happen, will happen.

Writing about Steve Jobs’ second improbable act, Holman W. Jenkins, Jr. of the Wall Street Journal writes the following:

“His story only proves that, in our infinitely rich world, you can find one example of almost anything that isn’t proscribed by the laws of physics.”

In a nutshell I think this teaches an important lesson in understanding statistics, and the daily news reports.  Making this statement part of one’s mental infrastructure, makes for better understanding arguments and advocacy.
